5 wedding blogs and 5 Instagram accounts to find all your design inspiration!

I think we can all agree that the best part of wedding planning is the food and the design. Before making lofty plans, one must search for beautiful wedding inspiration ideas to get their creative juices flowing. It would be nice for the internet to dissect and spit out everything we are thinking but unfortunately this isn’t the case. Surfing the web is not straightforward, we know how it goes: we type into the google search box “beautiful weddings” but what comes up may not satisfy our definition of beautiful. We scroll down a few pages, click on a wedding website or two, then watch kitten videos, read a story of Humans of NY, cry for a few minutes, then check the weather, a DM from your friend pops up… and where were we again? Oh yes, weddings, that’s right…..

I would like to save you some valuable time by sharing where I find the best wedding inspiration, and no, it isn’t on Pinterest. I actually use Pinterest as a place to save my photos. It’s a great tool to use with my clients so we can save photos on a board together and make comments, it facilitates our communication. Most of my design ideas come from wedding blogs and Instagram accounts that I love. The problem with Pinterest is that you have to pin a lot of pictures for the algorithm to understand what you are looking for and to send you good suggestions. It’s highly unlikely that you will find your ideal photos by doing a quick search on Google or Pinterest. Gorgeous imagery needs to be curated. In order to bypass this issue, I encourage you to follow the blogs and instagram accounts listed below. Save the photos you like from these sources to Pinterest, and before you know it, you will be flooded with delightful images for your wedding!

Here are some very popular blogs that may be recognizable even though if you are not super familiar with the wedding industry. There is a reason their brand is so well-known and they deserve a few visits on your search.

  1. Martha Stewart Weddings

  2. Style Me Pretty

  3. Brides

  4. Carats and Cake

  5. Flutter mag

OK, so I lied, I can’t keep it to just 5 blogs… I’m going to slip in another one that I love, it’s called Magnolia Rouge and you must visit it as well.

And here are some Instagram accounts you ought not to ignore:

  1. The Bridal Journey

  2. The Firefly Method

  3. Joy Procter

  4. Angela.munia.events

  5. Federicabeni_ed

Now, that I have given you the best places to find wedding inspiration, start your research and add those pictures to Pinterest, it will save you time and render the best results for your wedding design research. Also, follow the blogs mentioned above on Instagram. Something you like may just pop into your feed.

Enjoy!

Jennifer

P.S. Instagram works the same way as Pinterest, they will send you suggestions of accounts to follow when you begin to follow new ones, and your discovery page will contain more of the type of wedding picture you love! You can save directly from Instagram to Pinterest. Don’t forget that inspiration is everywhere, interior design, food photography, fashion, and travel. There are so many possibilities, but this is a good start. As I always like to say, getting started leads you to new places even when you don’t know where you are going.
